Benefits of KHC Membership
Through your membership we are able to have a voice in the horse industry in Kansas. We monitor legislative issues that will affect horse owners. Through our persistance in working towards laws to protect the horse owner, we were instrumental in getting the Kansas Liability Law passed. You may call the office for a copy of this statute. We also offer $1,000,000. in equine liability insurance to anyone who joins the Kansas Horse Council. When you become a member, this insurance is automatically yours and protects you from the actions of any horses that you own. This includes coverage anywhere your horse is, whether on your property or not. Call the office for more details. We also sponsor "Equifest" each year which is a three day horse event that brings demonstrations by world class clinicians to help you further your horse education. You can also find many horse related products at the trade show from the many vendors that come from all over the United States. The many different breeds can be seen during the breed showcase and you can select from the many stallions that come each year. Our daughter organization, the Kansas Horse Council Foundation, offers scholastic financial assistance through a scholarship program. Please look at our event section throughout the year to see a schedule. We work year round in the Horse industry and gladly welcome ideas that you may have for making it better in the State of Kansas.
