KHC Mission
The mission of the Kansas Horse Council is to:
- Represents entire equine industry speaking for all breeds, all disciplines. Your voice in keeping the industry thriving.
- KHC is member run; your equine issues are KHC’s issues.
- KHC members represent hundreds of individuals, clubs, and organizations creating a powerful network against equine abuse, theft, and many other issues.
- EquiFest of Kansas is an annual event dedicated to the equine industry of our
state. Founded by the KHC for the purpose of education, promotion,
and entertainment.
- KHC Connection keeps KHC members informed about equine matters around the state.
Health, liability, current events, resources, and legislative issues
are a few topics monitored by the KHC. The Connection is included
with membership.
- Kansas Equine Limited Liability Law – the KHC was instrumental in the passing of
House Bill 2222, now KSA 60-4001 through 60-4004, which protects
equine owners against frivolous lawsuits.
- Liability Signs – all weather signs comply with the law and protect the equine
owners wherever they are posted. KHC members receive discounts on
the purchase of these signs.
- KHC mean new friendships – members meet annually at the general membership
meeting in February. Regional Directors unite members with common
interests. New friendships are made and a network of people,
products, and services are offered on a broad scale.
- United, a strong equine industry thrives!
