Reported Stolen Tack & HorsesThis page is provided to the horse-citizens of Kansas to centralize reports of stolen tack and horses. To share your report of stolen horses and/or tack, please click here. 06/21/08 This saddle was stolen the night of 6/16/2008 from my vehicle. They broke the window on my car just to steal the saddle only. This is a 16 inch hand made western saddle with tooling all around. Basket weave with diamonds around the edge. Light oil with 8 silver Conchos. The saddle horn doesn't have the rubber tape on the horn anymore like shown in the picture. The rawhide on the stirrups have been chewed on by a dog, otherwise in like new condition. Fleece under the saddle is in like new condition as well. Please keep an eye out for this saddle! Hey there! Please help me to pass the word around about my stolen saddle!! I am attaching a picture of the Dale Chavez saddle that was stolen out of my tack stall at the Iowa Equestrian Center at Kirkwood Community College on Saturday, October 27, this weekend at the IAHA Spooktacular Show.
Deb Ketelsen ordered this saddle special with real silver so it tarnishes easily and is pretty dark- the pattern is a SINGLE diamond shape in the middle of the corner plates as shown on the saddle I'm riding in (not the four small diamonds as shown on the new saddle.) A show bridle, tan bling Roper rhinestone boots sz 10, and pair of nice large/long ball engraved silver spurs were also taken. I am offering a reward for information that leads to arrest and conviction of the loser who took these items!
Please help keep our horse community safe by sending this email around to all of your horse friends that may see my tack at a sale or show and can get this crook out of our shows! We have the right to show and not wonder if someone is stealing our stuff out of our tack stalls while we ride!!!

One set was light colored with a hole chewed in the left leg and missing a concho on that side. One was chestnut and the other was a grey color. Dogs came out before anything else was taken. Ninja is a black and white appaloosa with a star on his forehead. He is 11 years old and 15 hands tall. (60 inches) He is big built and approximately 1,200 lbs.
